Does anyone find themselves undertaking more creative tasks/side hustles in winter? I’ve already found that I’m able to get more done during winter, probably because it’s cold enough to justify staying inside on the weekend. I’m hoping to turn this extra time into more freelance PR work (which you should hit me up via DM/email about if you need press releases/bios/an EPK for your next track), as well as more blog articles.

This week was definitely a hip-hop/pop-themed week for the blog, but then I think every week is! Read on to find out what I’ve written about this week, and give them a read if you’re so inclined (if you’ve read this far, I’m assuming that you are).

Article Of The Session - INTERVIEW: Anna Cordell On The Intersection Between Music And Fashion

I spoke to Melbourne’s Anna Cordell about her recent return to making music after a decade hiatus, as well as how motherhood has influenced her music. Anna was really open and honest in her answers, and I really enjoyed reading back over the chat, so I think it’s worth a read!

Shook Bones Holds Up A Mirror To Australia On ‘Artemis (& The River)’

Wollongong rapper Shook Bones has made a statement with his debut single, Artemis (& The River). Listen closely to his lyrics, and put it on repeat if you need more time to process what he’s saying. It’s a message about the state of the Australian music industry and is a wake-up call for us all.

Olivia Escuyos Celebrates Love On The Silky ‘Got Me (Feelin’ Like)’

Melbourne R&B artists have found the secret sauce in the last couple of years, and Olivia Escuyos is no exception. Looking for something smooth to listen to as the weekend comes to a close? Put on Got Me (Feelin’ Like).

Allerdyce Rightfully Puts Herself First On The Cinematic ‘Cake For Breakfast’

Sydney artist Allerdyce’s debut single, Cake For Breakfast, is a perfectly baked metaphor about not putting your energy and time into people that don’t reciprocate. I was especially impressed by her vocals, and I think you will be as well.

If you’re interested, check out my Spotifynds playlist below. I’ve updated it with all the tracks I’ve written about over the last week, so see if you’re digging any of the tracks!
