Music Features & Reviews

Writing reviews can be a lot of fun, especially when I really connect with a project or event. It’s a chance to delve deeper into an artist’s mindset when creating music or capture the atmosphere and significance of a live concert. Writing features is similarly enjoyable, especially when putting together lists that highlight some of the artists that are pushing a particular genre/scene forward.

Sports Interviews

As a somewhat handy leg spin bowler and a long-suffering Essendon supporter, getting to speak to sporting stars is another highlight of being a writer. It’s also something I’d love to do more of in the future!

Media Appearances

I’ve made appearances on both ABC programs and Triple R, speaking about music-related issues. It’s important to me that issues affecting the Australian music industry, and Australian artists, get covered — and I’m always happy to offer my thoughts on issues that face Australian creatives.

Audio Features & News Bulletins

Over the years, I’ve had the chance to speak to politicians, academics, community figures and more. It’s a fun challenge whenever I get the chance to create a compelling audio narrative using original interviews, audio grabs and a script. I also enjoy writing a script and using audio grabs and interviews to create short, snappy news bulletins that tell people about the news of the day.
