Hailing from the south-east of Melbourne, REALDEALSKENG are introducing themselves in a big way. Their debut track, Game Over, sees them introducing their three members - 77Dippa, YDK Tha Faceless and 2Trappy - and give fans a taste of what’s to come.

RDS aren’t afraid to admit this track is a beginning - they have much bigger plans. For an introductory look at the group and their dynamics, they haven’t put a foot wrong. I always find it interesting when new artists claim to be bringing a new sound with their debut track. However, RDS really have put their own spin on what’s hot in hip-hop in Australia. They’ve coined the term ‘drip drill’ for their style of music. It's all about showcasing a love of the flashier things in life.

There’s a couple of things I’m especially enjoying about RDS. They bounce off each other in a way that’s rare to hear on a debut track. Each rapper has their own style and personality, and their rhymes reflect this. There’s sure to be a lot of debate from fans about who comes out on top on each track - a sign of a group that’s on point.

The visual for Game Over is also impressive. TMC made the music video with help from Roar Gaming Studios and Zannyedits, and it shows RDS get how important music videos can be. Rappers in Australia are often leading the way when it comes to the visual treatments they’re giving their tracks - especially when trying to establish a point of difference as a group.

The video for Game Over is as impressive as any video that HP Boyz, OneFour and any of the other big groups in Australia have released. It mixes animation and live visuals in a way that I haven't seen before. It's amazing how much talent is sitting outside the mainstream of Australian music at the moment. People need to pay more attention.

I see great things in RDS’ future, especially if they keep putting this much love into every release. All three members of the group have a clear vision of how they want the world to see them, and they’ve got the skills to match. Keep your wits about you - RDS are the real deal.
