Central Coast producer Darby has linked up with New York musician Snow-Key for Fragment, a track that sees them combining their production styles. It’s a track that starts off relatively-lowkey, before exploding in a wave of euphoric glitchy sounds, and you’ll find yourself getting lost in each note. If you’re looking for a track to throw on when the night needs a boost to keep going, then Fragment might just take things from 0 to 100 again. Just make sure you’ve cleared some space around you, because you’ll want to get up and move.

It’s reminiscent of artists like Flume and Hermitude, with a more experimental edge. Glitchtronica is becoming more and more widespread, and Fragment is one of the best examples of the genre that I’ve heard. It’s a track that feels built around the high notes of the track, rather than the bassline (but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a mean low end). Let’s be honest - we’re all missing hearing drops like these played on the loudest sound systems possible.

Speaking about the collaboration, Darby says that working with Snow-Key was a dream come true. "I'd say the track was a fairly spontaneous collaboration but I was super pumped to work with Snow-Key after hearing their other music. We made the track in just under a week and it feels like the perfect showcase of our production skills. Very happy with the positive buzz we've received so far." Sometimes, music comes together, and this track is proof of that. The chemistry that the two producers have is undeniable, and I’d be surprised if this is the last time we hear them work together. With results like this, you can’t have too much of a good thing - it’s just not possible!
